VISA AND INVITATION LETTER
Visitors who are not citizens of a European Union Member State and who want to enter the Republic of Lithuania must be in possession of the appropriate visa. If you are in possession of a valid Schengen visa, or national visa issued by other Schengen state, you may enter the Republic of Lithuania and remain for the period indicated on a visa, but not exceeding 90 days in any 180 day period
To visit Lithuania, you must have a valid passport or ID card (if you are a citizen of an EU country). A visa is required for citizens of countries that do not have visa-exemption agreements with Lithuania. Information on the visa requirements and the location of embassies can be found on the website of the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Participants who require a letter of invitation from the Migration Department under the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Lithuania may contact the Conference Secretariat to apply for the invitation letter. It is not obligatory for those who are going to take care of the visa by themselves. We kindly request that you consult with the relevant institutions in your country about the procedure and required documents before inquiring for the invitation letter.
Participant must be registered and have fully paid participant’s fee.

Lithuania has a typical Central European climate. The month of August is characterised by falling daily high temperatures, with daily highs ranging from 23°C to 19°C over the course of the month, exceeding 27°C or dropping below 16°C only one day in ten. Daily weather updates can be found HERE.
Over the course of August, the length of the day is very rapidly decreasing. From the start to the end of the month, the length of the day decreases by 2:01 hours, implying an average day-over-day decrease of 3.9 minutes. The shortest day of the month is August 31 with 13:48 hours of daylight; the longest day is August 1 with 15:49 hours of daylight.
Official currency in Lithuania is Euro. Visa and MasterCard are accepted in most shops, hotels and restaurants. You will find an ATM on nearly every corner.
ATM (Cash Machines)
Cash-points are ubiquitous in Vilnius, so you won’t have to wander far to track one down. You’ll also find an ATM at the airport. However, most banks will charge a small fee for withdrawing cash overseas.
Electricity in Lithuania is 220 Volts. Plugs are European standard with two round pins.
